The goal of The Town Cow Theater is to create a company of actors who share a common approach and a long-term commitment. We believe that the art of the theater begins when a permanent group of players have performed together for several seasons. There are many talented actors in the world. WORKING BEHIND THE SCENES

The production values of The Town Cow Theater Company are modest. We seek a simple elegance, with the emphasis on the acting. Our performances take place outdoors, in the afternoon and early evening, within the space of a small swath of parkland. We are lit by the sun, and we eschew amplified sound. Our technical needs require costumers, carpenters, a stage manager, a person to collect and keep track of props, and a stagehand or two.

YOUR SUPPORT

The Town Cow Theater Company is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt enterprise. The average budget for any given show is well under $10,000. We seek the support of private citizens who love the theater and who appreciate the importance of plays presented free of charge. The function of the theater is to oppose the status quo of the community, like a thumb to four fingers. The value of the one without the other is little, compared to what they can do together.
